About the Ranch

The History

The Ranch at Wild Rose is fulfilling the Cox family's lifelong dream to share the cowboy way of life. Purchased in the spring of 2022, this exclusive mountain treasure is nestled on 180 acres of gorgeous Utah landscapes. But the story of Wild Rose didn’t begin here. Harmony’s great great grandfather was an original settler of this area. His Wild Rose Ranch, just a few miles east, is where the tradition of hospitality began. Johnathan was well known for taking in weary travelers, offering them a bed and a warm meal. Ahead of his time, Jonathan had an incredible eye for livestock breeding and crop production. He took pride in the work of his hands, but always felt his most important work was his family. Dustin and Harmony Cox and their six cowgirl daughters continue his legacy. They live and raise cattle and crops much the same as grandpa Jonathan. They recognize how rare and special a life they live. Their goal as a family is to not only continue the legacy, but to also share it..

The Experience

The Ranch at Wild Rose is the perfect place to set up base camp for visits to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, and Arches National Park. To make the trip even more spectacular, if you fly into Las Vegas, your drive to the ranch takes you through the Virgin River Gorge and Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park. This is awe inspiring country, and there is so much to see.
In addition to the majesty all around, the ranch has plenty to keep you occupied for several days. Enjoy activities such as horseback riding, hiking, trail running, bird watching, and shooting sports. End your days watching the sun set from the back porch while watching the elk and mule deer who come in to graze.
If you're looking for extra adventure, the Cox family hosts multi day cattle drives and branding experiences. Grab your hat and take part in an old west tradition.

The Accommodations

The ranch's lodging consists of multiple structures offering options and privacy for larger groups. The main lodge is a three bedroom three bathroom spacious custom built home with a large kitchen and living area. The master king suite and a secondary king suite are on the main floor. Downstairs is the bunkhouse room with three twin bunks and a queen bed. The upstairs loft also has a queen sleeper sofa.
Next to the lodge are three individual one room queen cabins. They all feature back decks and outdoor seating to enjoy coffee in the mornings and refreshments in the evening.
Just a short walk down the road from the lodge is the Hitchin' Barn. There is an apartment on the second floor of the horse barn. It sleeps 10 in three bedrooms, one king room, one queen room, another bunk room with a king and queen, and a sleeper queen sofa in the common area. The Barn may be rented separately from the main lodge and cabins.

The Land

In addition to the cattle and chickens on this working ranch, the area is home to mule deer, elk, Utah prairie dog, pronghorn, chipmunks, cougars, fox, and many bird species including Peregrine Falcons and Golden Eagles, and Red Tailed Hawks..
