Why is my credit card payment not going through?

Confirm your credit card and billing information is entered correctly, that your card has not expired, and the booking cost does not exceed the credit card transaction limit. Some banks may block transactions for fraud protection. Contact your bank after verifying the above information if you continue having issues.

How does the cost of my reservation appear on my credit/debit card?

It will show up as a charge from Explore Ranches, LLC.

How do I cancel a reservation and receive a refund?

Please email us at info@exploreranches.com or 512-230-3345 and we will work with you to cancel your reservations and provide a refund according to the cancellation policy listed on the ranch details page of the property you booked.

What can I do if the ranch or accomodations are not as described?

How do I get access to details about my getaway?

What do I do if a landowner cancels my reservation?

Landowners will only cancel a reservation if the safety of the guest is in question. Explore Ranches will refund the payment and work with you to reschedule your getaway.

What hotel occupancy taxes and sales taxes does Explore Ranches collect and remit?

Explore Ranches collects both Texas state and applicable county hotel occupancy taxes. In Colorado, state and county sales taxes are collected.

No, Explore Ranches does not conduct background checks on guests or landowners.

Can I split the cost of a reservation across multiple payment methods?

We do not currently offer a way to split payments across multiple credit cards or multiple payment methods.

When am I charged for a reservation?

You are charged for a reservation at the time of booking.

What methods of payment does Explore Ranches accept?

Explore Ranches accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and debit cards that can be processed as credit cards.

Do I get a full refund if I cancel?

When will I get my refund?

Your refund will be processed according to the ranches' cancellation policy but may take up to 10 business days to appear on your account.

What is the process for a claim made on my security deposit?

Explore Ranches will notify and discuss damages with the guest and landowner before any monies are deducted from the damage deposit. You will be refunded the deposit after Explore Ranches receives clearance from the landowner. Full or partial refund of the damage deposit make take up to 4-6 weeks.

What do I do if I left a personal item at a ranch?

Please contact Explore Ranches and we will contact the ranch and do our best to retreive the item.

Do I tip ranch staff?

Yes, gratuity is expected and very much appreciated by ranch staff. They are there to insure your best possible experience.

Can I change my reservation during the getaway?

No, reservations may not be changed during a getaway.

Can I extend my getaway after it ends?

No, a getaway may not be extended after it ends.

What is the Explore Ranches cancellation policy?

What happens if a guest damages something on a ranch?

In the event of personal property damage, Explore Ranches will notify and discuss damages with both the customer and Landowner before any monies are exchanged.

Does Explore Ranches carry personal liability insurance?

Yes. For bookings made through our platform, Explore Ranches either carries its own general liability insurance policy with the Landowner named as Additional Insured or Explore Ranches is named as Additional Insured on the Landowner's general liability insurance policy.

What time is check in and check out?

Check in and check out are individually determind by the landowner and will be included in your confirmation email details.

Is recreational equipment included with my stay?

Depending on what activitties are available at the ranch, recreational equipment may be included in your stay and is listed on the ranch detail page of the website.

Do I need to have 4 wheel drive to access these ranches?

Some ranches will require 4 Wheel Drive to access and that information is listed on the ranch detail page of the website.
