About the Ranch

The Experience

Tucked into the dramatic foothills of the Canadian Rockies, Eden Wilds offers something truly rare: over 3,000 acres of pristine wilderness that feels entirely your own. Meadows stretch to the horizon, forests rise up the slopes, and a crystal-clear creek winds through a canyon cut from stone. It’s the kind of place that quiets the noise of everyday life and invites you to breathe deep, slow down, and reconnect with nature, with loved ones, and with yourself.

Designed for those seeking comfort without compromise, Eden Wilds is a luxurious mountain retreat where modern elegance meets untamed beauty. Inside, you'll find thoughtfully designed interiors, a serene indoor heated pool, and every amenity needed to relax in style. Step outside, and you're immersed in one of the most breathtaking regions in North America—celebrated by National Geographic as the Crown of the Continent, a place renowned for its biodiversity, wide-open skies, and cinematic landscapes.

Originally established in 1972 as a working ranch and still home to a small cattle operation, Eden Wilds also serves as a sanctuary for wildlife. Protected for decades and bordered by both Beauvais Lake Provincial Park and Castle Wildland Provincial Park, the land is home to deer, elk, bears, birds of prey, and a stunning array of native plants. A portion of the property is safeguarded by the Nature Conservancy of Canada, ensuring its wild character endures for generations to come.

The Accommodations

Perched at 4,600 feet above sea level on the edge of a sweeping alpine meadow, the Eden Wilds Guest House is a cedar-wood chalet that feels both timeless and utterly refined. With unobstructed views of the Southern Rockies stretching endlessly into the horizon, this stunning home invites you to settle into a slower rhythm.

Inside, the Guest House blends the warmth of traditional ranch style with the elegance of modern design. Sleek surfaces meet natural wood tones, contemporary furnishings soften into cozy corners, and every room is curated for both comfort and connection. Perfectly suited for up to eight guests and two small children, the home features two serene king suites, each with an en-suite bathroom and private reading nook. The Guest House also has a queen bedroom with access to a covered patio, and a flexible fourth bedroom with twin beds that can be converted into a king. Families will appreciate the thoughtful layout, which includes a spacious family bathroom with dual sinks, an additional shower room, a powder room, and a dedicated nursery complete with cribs, a rocking chair, and a changing table.

At the heart of the home is a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, featuring premium appliances like a Ninja airfryer, Nespresso coffee machine, and a complete Cuisinart cookware set. A quartzite breakfast bar connects to the living room while the formal dining room invites special gatherings, enhanced by a curated wine fridge stocked with exceptional vintages.

The living room is both inviting and inspiring, with plush leather sofas, a crackling wood-burning fireplace, and a curated "Library of the Wild" for quiet afternoons. Classic games, a solid wood backgammon table, and cozy reading spots invite shared moments and unplugged joy.

Step outside and you’ll find expansive decks made for gathering. There’s a cozy lounge, an al fresco dining space, a ping pong table, and a BBQ with a pizza stone—all framed by panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Mornings bring golden light over the meadows, and evenings are filled with unforgettable color as the sun dips behind the Rockies.

The Pool Pavilion

Just a short walk from the Guest House, the Pool Pavilion at Eden Wilds offers a serene escape where wellness, leisure, and breathtaking scenery come together under one soaring cedar roof. Step inside, and you're greeted by the calming scent of warm wood and the soft echo of water. Double-height ceilings and a full glass façade create a sun-drenched sanctuary where the 32-by-16-foot heated indoor pool becomes the centerpiece. The surrounding views of the Southern Rockies pour in through the windows, turning every swim into a scenic experience.

Lounge chairs and cozy armchairs line the edges of the space, inviting you to settle in with a good book, a glass of wine, or simply your thoughts. A stylish bar corner with a mini fridge and Bluetooth speaker sets the tone for relaxed afternoons or quiet evening dips, while neatly stocked towels and poolside accessories ensure everything you need is close at hand.

Whether you're starting the day with a swim, winding down after a hike, or watching kids splash around with goggles and floaties from the wooden toy chest, the pavilion is designed to make every moment effortless. Yoga mats are available for a mindful stretch, and thoughtful details like double drying racks, plenty of hooks, and a beautifully appointed changing room—with multi-jet shower, vanity, and toilet—keep the space tidy and comfortable.

The pool is kept at a perfectly warm 28°C (82°F), with a gentle slope from 3 feet 4 inches to 5 feet deep, ideal for both relaxation and play. And yes, even here in the heart of the wild, you’ll find high-speed WiFi to keep you connected if needed.
